1. About Us
Aligned is a personalised daily audio briefing service operated from Australia.
2. The Service
Aligned provides AI-generated personalised daily audio briefings. Each morning, we create a 5-minute podcast episode tailored to your interests, goals, and chosen topics. The content is generated using artificial intelligence to summarise and discuss publicly available news and information.
Important: Aligned generates summaries and commentary on publicly available content. We are not a news organisation and do not produce original journalism. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or misinterpretations. Please verify important information from original sources.
3. Subscription & Billing
- Free Trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features.
- Subscription: After the trial, the service costs $5 USD per month.
- Billing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
- Refunds: As a digital service, we generally don't offer refunds. However, if you experience significant issues, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.
4. Acceptable Use
By using Aligned, you agree to:
- Use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only
- Not request or attempt to generate illegal, harmful, or offensive content
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the service
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
5. Intellectual Property
- Our Content: Aligned owns the rights to the generated audio episodes, the platform, and all associated branding. You receive a personal license to listen to your episodes.
- Your Data: You retain ownership of the personal data you provide (topics, goals, context, etc.). We use this data solely to personalise your experience.
- Third-Party Content: The news and articles we summarise remain the property of their original publishers. We provide commentary and summaries, not reproductions.
6. Limitation of Liability
Aligned is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Complete accuracy of AI-generated content
- That the service will meet all your requirements
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Termination
Either party can terminate this agreement at any time:
- You: Cancel your subscription through your account settings
- Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical
Upon termination, your access to episodes will end, but you can request a copy of your personal data.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in Australian courts.
